With some see-sawing of control during the early colonial period between the Spanish, Dutch and English, the British Virgin Islands have remained a steadfast territory of the British since 1628.
The Islands
With the BVI Government leading the way to preserve much of this archepeligo in it's original state that, dispite the inflows of more and more travelers, the BVIs offer visitors some of the most enchanting and pristine sights in all of the Caribbean.
Tortola Island
As the largest of the British Virgin Islands, it serves as the capital and primary International entry point. Mkae sure to visit the historic sights of Plantation days of yore and the 92 acre Sage Mountain National Park with the highest peak in the Virgin Islands chain at over 1,700 feet.
Virgin Gorda Island
The Spanish translation to "Fat Virgin" roughly describes the widening of the islands central portion. At ten miles long, most of the coastal areas are decorated with beautiful beaches and smooth rock formations.
